Bibliographies

As this web page is written for mathematicians, most readers will already be acquainted with MathSciNet and understand how useful it can be.

Standard practice for producing the bibliography of a LaTeX document is to use a tool called BibTeX. That's why one of the output formats provided for MathSciNet search results is BibTeX format.

Although it is not bad as a basic tool for bibliography work, BibTeX development has been pretty much stalled for over a decade now and better software is overdue. Some authors turn to tools like EndNote even though it is primarily targeted towards mainstream DTP software like MS Word.
